Front Desk Job Duties

 

Front Desk Responsibilities

  1. Be pleasant to all incoming and outgoing members.
  2. Make sure member signs in prior to entering the club.
  3. Answer phone in a pleasant manner and handle questions and paging. Try and keep one phone line open at all times for incoming calls. Limit child phone calls to two minutes.
  4. Keep volume of radio at an appropriate level and a station or CD's approved by manager.
  5. KEEP ALL CHILDREN AWAY FROM THE FRONT DESK AT ALL TIMES!
  6. Unless children are waiting to be picked up they are not to be out in front of the club (apron area).
  7. Make sure children do not bring food or drink out in the front desk or apron area.
  8. Listen for any disturbances in the restrooms (i.e. children playing or taking 4 hour showers) and notify manager if necessary.

Money Transactions

  1. Write receipts for any transfer of money!!!!!!!! (i.e. guest fees, baby-sitters pass, parties, etc.)
  2. Guest fee moneys are to be kept in the cash box. Special event moneys are to be kept in the appropriate envelopes.
  3. Record guests in the binder each time they enter to club. A guest may only come twice in one month and must be accompanied by a member.
  4. Record special events and parties in the appropriate binder, under the appropriate heading. Members must pay at the time of signing up for special events and parties.
  5. At the end of a shift check all your moneys with receipts to make sure records and amounts match.

Closing Out

  1. Fill out a separate deposit slip and deposit envelope for each individual event envelope and guest fees.
  2. On the deposit slip, write: Event name, cash amount, checks (listed separately), and total.
  3. On the deposit envelope write: Turpin Hills Swim and Racquet Club, account number, event name, phone number.
  4. Have manager count all moneys prior to sealing the envelope.
  5. Record days totals in the running total book.
  • Special projects as manager sees needed.
